Pugh-Hiatt
Anne Marie Hiatt and Michael Alen Pugh of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 25 at 3 p.m. at Hinnant Family Vineyards in Pine Level, with Kris Hiatt, uncle of the bride, officiating.
The bride is the daughter of David J. and Melanie L. Hiatt of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of James D. and Connie R. Hiatt of Deming, N.M., Rolland R. Rock of Keeseville, N.Y., and the late Janet D. Rock of Plattsburgh, N.Y.
She graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 2009 and attended Wayne Community College. She is employed as a certified nurses assistant at The Pines of Goldsboro.
The groom is the son of Darrell Q. and Beth A. Pugh of Leander, Texas, and the grandson of the late Malcolm and Wilma Pugh of Austin, Texas, and Walter Strange and Barbara Littrell of Pine Knot, Ky.
He graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 2009 and attended Wayne Community College. He is employed as a transcriptionist at IWARN and a sales associate at Blockbuster.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a lace trumpet gown with a beaded empire waist, a pleated satin bodice and a chapel train.
Her headpiece was a beaded fingertip veil and pearl and a Swarovski headband.
Chelsea Clark was her cousin’s maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Sara Rouse, sister of the bride; Stephanie Hiatt, sister-in-law of the bride; Ashley Pugh, sister of the groom; Kylie Rock, cousin of the bride; and Charlotte Holt, friend of the couple.
Darrell Pugh was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Joshua Hiatt, brother of the bride; Alex Rouse, brother-in-law of the bride; Brett Clark, cousin of the bride; and Jared Rozzi and Glenn Malcolm, friends of the couple.
Ushers were Nathan Rock and Jonathan Rock, cousins of the bride.
Hannah Rouse, niece of the bride, was flower girl.
Lisa Smith directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Jennifer Carcirieri, friend of the couple.
Elizabeth Rock, cousin of the bride, was the reader.
A program of wedding music was provided by Samantha Swartz, cousin of the bride, vocalist, and Travis Ross, friend of the couple, guitarist.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Hinnant Family Vineyards.
After their wedding trip to Orlando and Tampa Bay, Fla., the couple will reside in Goldsboro.
Events held before the wedding included an engagement party Aug. 9 hosted by the bride’s parents; a bridal shower April 9 hosted by Sara Rouse and Stephanie Hiatt; a honeymoon shower May 21 hosted by the bride’s mother and Helen Rock, aunt of the bride.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Texas Steakhouse.
