Bray - Sessoms
Edith Nicole Sessoms of Wilmington and Robert Edward Bray of Wilmington exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 15 at 6 p.m. at Fort Fisher in Kure Beach, with Carter McKaughan officiating.
The bride is the daughter of William Sessoms of Faison and Janice Sessoms of Calypso.
She is a 2001 honor graduate of ND High School and a 2005 graduate of Salem college with a bachelor’s degree in interior design. She is employed as office manager and design assistant at Elizabeth Messick Interiors.
The groom is the son of Ed Bray of Summerfield, Fla., and Carol Bray of Gainsville, Va.
He is a 1992 graduate of Warren County High in Virginia. He is employed as a technician at Defender Direct.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a halter top satin dress with a white lace overlay adorned with crystal beading throughout the dress.
Her headpiece was a veil with crystal beading on the edge.
The bride carried a bouquet of white lilies and yellow Gerber daisies.
Leslie Williams of Mount Olive was her friend’s matron of honor, while Heather Bray of Wilmington, daughter, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Dorian Graves of Wilmington and Elissa Drumm of Winston-Salem, friends of the bride.
Ed Bray was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were John Boon of Manassas, Va., and James Smith and Kevin Holzhauser of Front Royal, Va., friends of the groom.
Jacob Bray was the ringbearer.
Lynne McKaughan and Diane Bray greeted guests.
A program of wedding music was provided by Andy Simpson, bagpiper.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the North Carolina Aquarium.
After their wedding trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Wilmington.
Events held before the wedding included a wedding shower March 5 at Country Squire Restaurant in Warsaw hosted by the bridesmaids and the bride’s mother; a bachelorette party April 1 in Wrightsville Beach hosted by the bridesmaids; and a wedding party night out May 13 at Carolina Ale House and SeaWitch Cafe.
A rehearsal dinner was held at Havanna’s in Carolina Beach.
