Chandler - Daughtry
Kelli Elizabeth Daughtry of Goldsboro and David Tyler Chandler of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 14 at 5 p.m. at United in Christ Church, with Ira Williford officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Randy and Melissa Daughtry of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of David and Josephine Daughtry of Goldsboro, James D. and Carolyn Hines of Mount Olive and Betty Moody of Dudley.
She is a 2007 honor graduate and North Carolina Scholar of Eastern Wayne High School and a 2009 graduate of Wayne Community College with an associate degree in dental hygiene. She is employed as dental hygienist at Hinnant Family Dentistry of Goldsboro.
The groom is the son of David and Mary Beth Chandler of Goldsboro and the grandson of Dale Chandler of Spartanburg, S.C., Sherry Fields of Goldsboro and Bobby and Faye Wadsworth of Watha.
He is a 2005 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School and a 2008 graduate of Wayne Community College with an associate degree in turfgrass management. He is employed as lawn care technician and crew leader at John Boy’s Lawn Care of LaGrange.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a formal gown of white chiffon over satin with a strapless neckline. The lightly ruched bodice included a drop waist embellished with two clusters of beads, rhinestones and Swarovski crystals. Layers of ruffles flowed down the fit-and-flare skirt leading to the chapel-length train.
Her headpiece a single-tiered veil of silk illusion.
The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of spring flowers.
Craig Daughtry of Goldsboro was his sister’s man of honor, while Kristin Smith of Pikeville, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Amanda Smith of Pikeville, cousin of the bride, and Natalie Gardner of Pikeville, friend of the bride.
David Chandler was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Blake Plummer of Goldsboro, friend of the groom; Jeff Chandler of Oakboro, uncle of the groom; and Nick Chandler of Goldsboro, brother of the groom.
Taylor Holmes of Princeton, friend of the bride, was flower girl. Braydon Southerland of LaGrange, friend of the bride, was ringbearer.
Dana Southerland of LaGrange, friend of the bride, directed the wedding. Journey Chandler of Oakboro, cousin of the groom, distributed the programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Mike Davis of Goldsboro, friend of the bride, sound technician, and Angela Inman of Selma, friend of the bride, vocalist.
Special helpers were Karen Smith of Pikeville and Victoria Bedwell and Danyel Hines of Dudley, cousins of the bride; and Tracy Hines of Dudley, aunt of the bride.
Following the wedding, the bride’s parents hosted a dinner/dance reception at the Elks Lodge.
After their wedding trip to Beaufort, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.
Events held before the wedding included a bachelorette weekend March 25 and 26 in Wilmington hosted by the bridesmaids; a shower April 3 at Daniels Memorial Church hosted by the groom’s family and friends; a shower April 17 at United in Christ Church hosted by the bride’s family and friends; a bachelorette dinner April 30 hosted by Dana Southerland, friend of the bride; and a bachelor camping trip April 16 and 17 hosted by the groomsmen.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner May 13 at Murphy's Place.
