Jackson - Holt
Erin Elizabeth Holt of Mount Olive and Joshua William Jackson of Seven Springs exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony March 12 at 5 p.m. at Smith Chapel United Methodist Church in Mount Olive, with Leland Heath officiating.
The bride is the daughter of David Wayne and Pamela Taliercio Holt of Creedmoor and the granddaughter of Rachel Deel Holt and the late Wilbur Alden Holt of Roanoke Rapids and Jean J. and Hedy Parker Taliercio of Mount Olive.
She is a 2008 graduate of Southern Wayne High School and attends East Carolina University majoring in family and community Services.
The groom is the son of Thomas Edgar Jackson of Holly Ridge and Mildred Rae Flores of Seven Springs and the grandson of Tom Edgar Jackson and the late Delilah Baise Jackson of Grantham and Mildred Turnage Jones and the late Richard Stanley Jones of Seven Springs.
He is a 2006 graduate of Spring Creek High School and a 2008 graduate of Wayne Community College with an associate degree in automotive systems technology. He is employed as a correctional officer with the North Carolina Department of Corrections.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore an ivory satin princess-cut A-line gown. Beaded lace appliqués adorned the bodice and skirt.
Her headpiece was a mid-length ivory veil etched with beaded appliqués accented with a crystal-embellished headband with a floral motif.
Virginia Parker McGuire was her cousin’s matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Tiffany Price, Lindsay Holt and Jessica Parker, cousins of the bride, and Olivia Whitman, Katie Boling, Stephene Williamson and Callie Selleck, friends of the bride.
Thomas Edgar Jackson was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Zachary Holt, brother of the bride; Joseph Jackson and Jeffrey Jackson, brothers of the groom; Jeremy Cecil and Josh Gates, friends of the groom; Taylor Price and Graham Parker, cousins of the bride; and Rodrick Graham, friend of the groom.
Morgan Brewer, and Madison Brewer, cousins of the bride, and Diana Jackson and Jesecka Jackson, nieces of the groom, were junior bridesmaids.
Jordan Price and Logan Price, cousins of the bride, and Sam Jackson and Rakiem Flores, brothers of the groom, were junior groomsmen.
Adriana Flores, sister of the groom, and Jocelyn Burrell, niece of the groom, were flower girls. Joseph Jackson Jr., nephew of the groom, was ringbearer.
Vicky Parker, aunt of the bride, directed the wedding, assisted by Denise Lassiter and Tina Brewer, cousins of the bride. Presiding at the register was Mary Charles Jacobs, friend of the bride. Matthew Atwood, friend of the bride, distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Jimmy Martin and Dawn O’Dowd, vocalists; Sue McClenney, organist; and Vinny O’Dowd, guitarist.
Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance reception was held at Southern Wayne Country Club.
The couple will take a wedding trip to the mountains in the summer. They will reside in Greenville.
Events held before the wedding included a miscellaneous shower Jan. 15 in Creedmoor at the home of David and Pam Holt hosted by Mrs. Holt, Hedy Taliercio, Sherry Whitman, Teresa Atwood, Violet Goodson and Dawn O’Dowd; a miscellaneous shower Feb. 5 at Smith Chapel United Methodist Church hosted by friends and family of the church; a bachelorette weekend and lingerie shower Feb. 18 through 28 in Myrtle Beach, S.C., hosted by the matron of honor and bridesmaids; and a bridesmaids’ luncheon March 11 at Duplin Winery hosted by Vicky Parker, Stephanie Price, Pam Parker, Cindy Parker and Dr. Diana Freeman, aunts of the bride.
A rehearsal dinner was held at Smith Chapel Church fellowship hall.
