Haley - Butts
Jeanna Marie Butts of Mount Olive and Richard Douglas Haley of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony March 12 at 2 p.m. at Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church, with pastor Doug Bartlett and pastor Jeff Dail officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Maurice Anthony Butts and the late Rose Lambert Butts of Mount Olive and the granddaughter of Tony Clay and Maxine Kornegay Butts, Oscar Ray Lambert and the late Rosa Goodson Lambert of Mount Olive.
She graduated from North Duplin High School in 2006 and Mount Olive College in 2010 with bachelor’s degrees in accounting, business management and history. She is employed at Southern Bank and Trust.
The groom is the son of Janice Ellen Lacey of Dallas, Texas, and the grandson of the late Richard and Vivian Lacey of Sarasota, Fla.
He graduated from MacArthur High School in 1997 and High-Tech Institute in 1998 with an associate’s degree in computer electronics/business. He is employed as an F-15 avionics technician for the United States Air Force.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her family.
She wore an ivory satin mermaid silhouette gown with a chapel train. The bodice was accented with a sweetheart neckline with beadwork and embroidery. The hemline was embellished with a scalloped trim.
Her headpiece was an elbow-length veil.
The bride carried a bouquet of white roses and miniature fuchsia calla lilies.
Amber Walters was her friend’s matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Kelly Jones, friend of the bride; Renee Lambert, cousin of the bride; and Jessica Burns, sister of the groom.
Christian Mesey was his friend’s best man.
Groomsmen were Matthew Bonner, friend of the groom; Clay Butts, brother of the bride; and Chad Burns, brother-in-law of the groom.
Emma Lambert, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.
Anne Letchworth directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Brittany Foulds.
A program of wedding music was provided by Carol Harring, pianist, and Melody Jones and Clay Butts, vocalists.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall.
After their wedding trip to the Caribbean, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.
Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower Jan. 29 hosted by friends and family.
The groom’s family hosted a rehearsal dinner March 11 at Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
