Hannah Elizabeth Bason of Raleigh and Charles Richard Cooke exchanged vows Oct. 2 at 5:30 p.m. at Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church in Beaufort, with the Rev. James Coffield Cooke Jr., uncle of the groom, officiating.

The bride is the daughter of George Foust Bason Jr. of Raleigh and Cathy Neal Bason of Pinehurst and the granddaughter of Doris Procter Bason and the late Honorable George Foust Bason of Raleigh, Catherine Carter Neal and the late Percy Bryan Neal of Stokesdale.

She attended Saint Mary’s School and graduated from Peace College.

The groom is the son of Richard Thomas and Kay Fouts Cooke of Goldsboro and the grandson of the late James Coffield Cooke and Iris Nelson Cooke of Williamston and Ruth Grier Fouts and the late Heron Cyrus Fouts of Goldsboro.

He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is employed as a wealth advisor at Cooke Capital LLC.

Marilyn McLean Zschau Lawrence was the matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Betsy Kilpatrick Carr, Sally Bryan Carey, Laura Wheeler Clark, Jayme Lynn Clarke, Courtenay Anne Griffin, Harriet Edwards Mills and Cortney Hill Stallings.

Dr. Richard Thomas Cooke was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Jeffrey Hamilton Cooke, brother of the groom; George Foust Bason III, brother of the bride; and Alonzo Clay Edwards III, William Claiborne Hancock, Alfred Llewelyn Hobgood IV, John Paul Hunter, Benjamin Weston Seegars, David Madison-Forbes Stallings, Matthew Dunlap Vaughan, Calvin Fleming Wells Jr. and Stewart Mclean Womble.

Ushers were Patrick Louis Mills and George Anthony Worrell Jr.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Coral Bay Club in Atlantic Beach.
