Moore - Selimovic
Sandra Selimovic of Raleigh and Ricky Allen Moore II of Raleigh exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 22 at 5 p.m. at Walnut Creek Country Club, with the Rev Vernon Brown officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Edo and Lilliana Selimovic of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Ljubica Selimovic, the late Salih Selimovic and the late Stanoja and Radojka Dukic of Banja Luka, Bosnia, and Herzegovina.
She is a 2004 honor graduate of Southern Wayne High School and a 2007 graduate of Meredith College with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a concentration in human resource management. She is employed as a human resource coordinator at McLaurin Parking Co.
The groom is the son of Tony and Susan Marie Gala of Thomasville and the grandson of the late Mary Rivenbark of Goldsboro.
He is a 1998 graduate of Southern Wayne High School and a 2007 graduate of Lenoir Community College with an associate degree in environmental science and water resource management. He is employed as a laboratory analyst with the city of Raleigh Neuse River Waste Water Treatment Plant.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore an a-line ivory satin gown with lace trim decorated with pearl beading throughout.
Her headpiece was a single-layered veil with pearl beading.
The bride carried a bouquet of white roses and pink peonies.
Lidija Selimovic was her sister’s maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Dina Lazarevic, friend of the couple, and Tara and Toni Gala, sisters of the groom.
Dwayne Lipscomb, cousin of the groom, was best man.
Groomsmen were Tony Gala, father of the groom; Andrew Gala, brother of the groom; and Drago Lazarevic, friend of the couple.
Sabrina Cizmic, friend of the couple, was flower girl. Benjamin Lazarevic, friend of the couple, was ringbearer.
Jasminka Humes, friend of the couple, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Amir and Naira Cizmic, friends of the couple. Anela Cizmic and Anel Hrustemovic, friends of the couple, distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by DJ Keith Waller.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Walnut Creek County Club.
After their wedding trip to the Florida Keys, the couple will reside in Raleigh.
Events held before the wedding included a wedding shower April 24 at Providence United Methodist Church hosted by Elleze and Borden Weeks, friends of the couple and a kitchen shower April 25 in Cary at the home of Kristy Dixon hosted by Ms. Dixon, Kistina Freeman and Virginia Phillips, friends of the bride.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal at McCalls Barbecue and Seafood.
