PRINCETON — Heaven Nicole Barbour and Chester Gurney Howell exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 24, 2009, at 4 p.m. at Rudy's Country Getaway in Four Oaks, with the Rev. Steve Singleton officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Randy Barbour of Mount Olive and Enita Kaye Barbour of Princeton and the granddaughter of Ralph Barbour and the late Mary Alice Barbour of Princeton and Joyce Worley and the late Willie Worley of Princeton.

She is a 1998 graduate of Princeton High School and 2002 graduate of Johnston Community College-Early Childhood Education. She is employed as surgery scheduler at Eastern Carolina Surgical.

The groom is the son of the late Elizabeth Kay Howell of Princeton and Freddie and Patricia Howell of Selma and the grandson of the late Chester and Grace Howell of Princeton and the late Robert Heath and Nancy Heath.

He is a 1998 graduate of Smithfield-Selma High School. He is employed in construction at Lee Electric.

The bride was escorted by her father, Randy Barbour, and given in marriage by her father and family.

She wore a white A-line Juliet style dress with semi-cathedral train, the vail was white and worn with a diamond tiara. The flowers were made by her aunt, Sandy Brinchek. They were sunflowers,

yellow roses, burgundy roses and fall leaves.

Dawn Barbour, her sister, was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were her aunt Sandy Brinchek, Shelly Willis and Tammy Talton.

The groom’s father, Freddie Howell, served as best man.

Groomsmen were Tommy Kornegay, Chris Robbins and Joey Pierce.

Sharon Herring directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Keri Worley.

A program of music was provided by the bride’s brother, Adam Barbour, guitarist/vocalist, the bride’s sister, Dawn Barbour, vocalit, with the support of Shelly Stewart.

Following the wedding, a reception, catered by McCall’s BBQ of Goldsboro, was held at Rudy’s Country Getaway at 5 p.m.

The couple honeymooned at Pigeon Forge, Tenn.

The couple resides in Princeton.

Prior to the wedding, a rehearsal dinner, catered by family and friends,

was held at Rudy's Country Getaway Oct. 23, 2009, at 6 p.m.
