Willis-Parker
Nicole Michelle Parker and Joseph Shane Willis exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Sept. 19 at 4 p.m. at Neuse River Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jessie Pittman officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Kay Andrew and Belinda Holmes Parker of Mount Olive and the granddaughter of Walter and Elda Rae Holmes of Seven Springs and Elisabeth “Betty” Parker and the late Donald Parker of Mount Olive.
She is a 2004 graduate. She is employed as a pharmacy technician in New Bern.
The groom is the son of Troy and Tammy Buck of New Bern and Norwood Jr. and Vicky Willis of Virginia and the grandson of Henry and Phyllis Lockey of New Bern, Norwood Willis Sr. of Morehead City and the late Melba Willis.
He is a 2004 graduate. He is employed with the city of New Bern as a lineman.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a white strapless A-line dress with a cathedral train embroidered with Swarovski crystals, pearls and sequins.
Her headpiece was a fingertip-length veil with a trim of sequins.
The bride carried calla lilies, orchids and greenery.
Jessica Hoskin was her friend’s matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Michelle Holmes, friend of the bride, and Megan Richards and Allysen Berry, friends of the couple.
Norwood Willis Jr. was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Brandon Parker, brother of the bride, and Dean Branch and Eric Buck, brothers of the bride.
Ushers were Kevin Gilligan and Joe Paul Adams, friends of the couple.
Taylor Nicole, daughter, was flower girl. Jaden Branch, nephew of the groom, was ringbearer.
Winter Willis, sister of the groom, was the honorary attendant.
Phyllis Lockey, grandmother of the groom, directed the wedding.
A program of wedding music was provided by Ann Collins, pianist.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the VFW.
After their wedding trip, the couple will reside in New Bern.
