Lori Lee Weaver of Goldsboro and Robert Roy Walker exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 8 at 6 p.m. at the American Legion, with the Rev. Pete Radford officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Dale and Beth Rumbley of Dudley and the granddaughter of Shirley Warrick and the late Paul Warrick of Dudley.

She is a 1997 graduate of Southern Wayne High School.

The groom is the son of Robert Harold Jr. and Kay Walker of Goldsboro and J.D. and Jeannette Capps of Goldsboro and the grandson of Robert Harold and Gail Walker and the late Easter Walker of Goldsboro.

He is a 1991 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School. He is employed as garage door installer at Griffin Garage Doors.

The bride was escorted by her stepfather and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore an ivory chiffon over ivory satin spaghetti strap A-line dress with a gathered bodice, a sheer lace empire waist and a sweep train.

Her headpiece was silver tiara with rhinestones.

The bride carried a bouquet of ivory Gerber daisies with satin ribbon.

Tammy Shawver of Waverly, W.Va., was matron of honor.

Tatum Walker, daughter of the bride, was the bridesmaid and the ringbearer.

Austin Shane Walker was his father’s best man.

Beth Rumbley directed the wedding.

A program of wedding music was provided by Micheal Lambert, cousin of the groom.

Following the ceremony, the family hosted a reception, wedding shower and cookout in the fellowship hall.

After their wedding trip to Emerald Isle, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.

Events held before the wedding included a weekend canoe camping trip Oct. at Cliffs of the Neuse River hosted by the bride’s parents.
