Tyron - Collins
HOLDEN BEACH — Jennifer Diane Collins and Timothy Aaron Tryon of Shreveport, La., exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 22 at 7:15 p.m., with Darrel Brown officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Joe Collins and Rhonda Vanhook of Goldsboro, the stepdaughter of Van Vanhook of Goldsboro and Mikki Kreisle and the granddaughter of the late Richard and Mary Collins and Allene Hazlett of Goldsboro and the late Edgar Watts.
She is a 2002 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School and attended Wayne Community College. She served four years in the United States Air Force, including a tour in Iraq. She is employed as a domestic engineer.
The groom is the son of Alvin and Rowanne Tryon of Tuscola, Texas, and the grandson of the late Richard and Evelin Tryon, George Cossaboom and the late Teresa Cossaboom.
He graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 2001 and Norwich University in 2005 where he received his commission in the United States Air Force. He is serving as an Air Force aviator.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father.
She wore a charmeuse V-neck halter with a ruched surplice bodice and a beaded embroidered dropped waist. It had a godet chapel train adorned with beaded embroidered appliqués.
Her headpiece was a pearl and starfish tiara with a fingertip veil embellished with jewels.
The bride carried a bouquet of fire orange calla lilies adorned with seashells and sand dollars.
Jessica Clark was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Erin Collins, sister-in-law of the bride, and Rachel Kreisle, sister of the bride.
Mike Ryan was best man.
The groom’s attendants were Matthew Tryon, brother of the groom, and Meredith Shepherd, bride of a deceased friend of the groom.
Ushers were Joseph Collins and Jason Collins, brothers of the bride.
Rose and Izzy Avery were flower girls. Avery Sanson was ringbearer.
Rachel Munro directed the wedding.
Following the ceremony, a pig picking was held at the oceanfront home of Irvan and Nancy Woods.
After their wedding trip to Walt Disney World, Fla., the couple will reside in Shreveport, La.
Events held before the wedding included a bachelorette party at Louisiana Boardwalk in Shreveport hosted by Crystyn Sterling; a bridal shower at the home of the bride’s mother in Goldsboro hosted by the bride’s mother, and the bride’s sister-in-law, Erin; a bridesmaids’ luncheon at the Wilmington Tea House in Wilmington; and a bachelor party in Holden Beach hosted by Brian Cantrell, brother-in-law of the groom, and Matthew Tryon, brother of the groom.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Paradise Cafe in Holden Beach.
