Greene-Bullock
Megan Worley Bullock and Donnie Anthony Greene exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 20 at 2:30 p.m. at Princeton Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dwayne Batten officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Jimmy and Margaret Worley Bullock of Princeton, the granddaughter of the late J.B. Worley and Julie Mae Worley of Princeton and the late Ed and Sarah Bullock of Wilson and the great-granddaughter of the late Alkie and Lillie Edwards Worley, the late Claude and Alice Braswell, the late Edward and Bessie Bullock and the late Cyrus and Effie Hadnott.
She graduated from Princeton High School in 2002, Wayne Community College in 2005 with an Associate of Arts degree and magna cum laude from Barton College in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies with teacher certification in elementary and middle school education.
The groom is the son of Donnie and Cathy Greene of Brogden, the grandson of the late Vernon and Ada Lewis and the late George and Fannie Belle Greene of Smithfield and the great-grandson of the late Tom and Betty Greene, the late Butler and Sara Janes Brock, the late Rance and Willie Tyner and the late Lorenzo and Sara Lewis.
He is a 1996 graduate of Princeton High School. He is employed by Patterson Trucking Co.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a white formal strapless full-length white satin gown with side draping and a tiered lace trim skirt that flowed into a chapel train.
Her headpiece was a white tiara adorned with a two-piece elbow-length veil embellished with pearls and crystals.
The bride carried a clutch bouquet of white miniature calla lilies, vogue roses, white daisies, pink lilies and Queen Anne’s lace with mixed greenery.
Brooke Norris was her cousin’s matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Carmen Thomas, cousin of the bride, and Malissa Graham, Summer Honeycutt, Jennifer Massey and Lindsey Smart, friends.
Donnie Greene was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were D.J. Greene, brother of the groom; Charlie Greene, cousin of the groom; and John Dove, Kevin Norris and David Parrish, friends.
Olivia Brooke Norris, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.
Child attendants were Kyle and Tyler Norris and Evan and Oliver Thomas, cousins of the bride.
Duane Haddock and Suzanne Mitchell co-directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Gerrad, Candice and Macie Allison, cousins of the bride.
Special helpers were Ashley Haddock, Cherokee Johnson, Nevada Johnson, Taylor Woodard and Larry Worley.
A program of wedding music was provided by Julia Beth, Melissa and Earl Worley, cousins of the bride, pianists and vocalists, and Marshall Price, sound technician.
A sand ceremony was held, representing the joining of the couple’s love for each other through God’s guidance.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Gurley House. Bryant and Debbie E. Worley, uncle and aunt of the bride, greeted guests. Rick and Angie Moore, uncle and aunt of the groom, said good-byes. Vicki Lassiter, Melody Radford, Sara Ann Sewell and Debbie M. Worley poured punch. Catherine Bennett, Susan Daughtry, Pat Gurley and Linda Hollis served the wedding cake.
After a wedding trip to Wrightsville Beach, Charleston and Wintergreen, the couple resides in Brogden.

Worley, aunt of the bride, and Carmen Thomas and Brooke Norris, cousins of the bride; a brunch April 25 in Wilson hosted by fellow faculty members of the bride’s father at Wilson Community College; a lingerie party May 15 hosted by Brooke Norris and Carmen Thomas, cousins of the bride; a bridal shower May 23 at Tee’s Chapel Church fellowship hall hosted by the groom’s mother and Shannon Greene, sister-in-law of the groom, and friends; an aloha May 29 at the poolside home of Bryant and Debbie E. Worley, uncle and aunt of the bride; and a bridal luncheon June 6 at the Royal Tea Room hosted by Debbie M. Worley, Debbie E. Worley and Melody Radford, aunts of the bride.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Gurley House.
