Faison - Cyrus
Roxanne Loretta Cyrus of Goldsboro and Derrick Augustus Faison of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 27 at 4 p.m. at Bear Creek Association, with pastor Willie Faison III officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Robert Edward Brown Sr. and Era Jean Brown of Brooklyn, N.Y., and the granddaughter of Edward Braiser and Felicia Braiser of Kansas City, Kan.
The groom is the son of Willie Faison II and Sarah Mae Taylor of Goldsboro and the grandson of Pricilla Artis and J.B. Artis and Willie Faison Sr. and Melissa Mae Sanders of Goldsboro.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by Robert E. Brown Jr.
Clairese Herbert was matron of honor, while Jean Ottey was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Andrea Clark and Kimberly Jones.
Alton Horn was best man.
Ushers were Donnie Faison, Eric Clark Jr. and Anthony Herbert.
Latisha Harris, Patrice Cyrus and Pereshes Cyrus were junior bridesmaids.
Chyanne Cyrus was the junior bride. Ervin Waters Jr. was the junior groom.
Karizma Clark and Harmony Clark were flower girls. Chad Jackson and De’Andre Blair were ringbearers.
Anferneny Williams and Shany’a Williams were candlelighters.
Gladys R. Brown directed the wedding.
A program of wedding music was provided by Robert E. Brown Jr., vocalist, and Trey Faison, organist.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held. Contrina Waters and Natasha Faison greeted guests.
The couple took a wedding trip to New York, N.Y.
