Holland - King
Belinda Gale King and Billy Nichols Holland exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony March 28 at 3 p.m. at Stanford Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Chris Turner officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David King and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ulysses Swinson and the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry King.
She is employed as an LPN at Mount Olive Rehabilitation Center.
The groom is the son of Billy Parker Holland and the late Hazel Holland and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sam Holland and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Nicholas.
He is employed by Pepsi Bottling Ventures.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a formal gown of ivory satin with a silk chiffon overlay with a sweetheart neckline. The fitted bodice was accented with spaghetti strap sleeves enhanced with a rhinestone brooch. The A-line skirt cascaded into a sweep train.
Her headpiece was a comb of rhinestones and pearls.
The bride carried a cascading bouquet of white roses accented with rhinestones.
Wendy Weeks of Mount Olive was her friend’s matron of honor, while Dawn Hobbs of Mount Olive, sister of the bride, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Lacie Barrett of Dudley and Heather Edwards of Rosewood.
Billy P. Holland was his son’s best man.
Ronnie Holland of Goldsboro, brother of the groom, was the groomsman.
Ushers were Nick Holland and Josh Holland of Dudley, sons of the groom.
Betty Webber, aunt of the bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Wanda Holland, sister-in-law of the groom. Jeanie Bland, friend of the bride, distributed bubbles and birdseed bags.
A program of wedding music was provided by Betsy Register, friend of the bride.
Following the ceremony, family and friends hosted a reception in the church fellowship hall. Attendants were Janice Hart, Barbara Millard, Jennifer Martin and Robin Pate-Edwards. Karen Jones, friend of the bride, poured punch.
After a wedding trip to the Outer Banks, the couple reside in Dudley.
Events held before the wedding included a pig picking March 14 hosted by Ken and Jennifer Martin, Steve and Janet Peedin and Dennis and Robin Edwards; a toast April 18 at Eagles Nest Country Club in Raleigh hosted by Diane Mitchell, cousin of the bride; and a miscellaneous shower at Pizza Village hosted by Wendy Weeks, friend of the bride.
The groom’s family hosted a rehearsal dinner Mach 27 at the church fellowship hall.
