Massey - Shaeffer
GRANTHAM — Brittney Nicole Shaeffer and Kevin Wayne Massey exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 2 at 4 p.m. at the Grantham Fire Department, with Tony McLamb officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Gray and Shonda Outlaw and Chuck and Gerrie Shaeffer and the granddaughter of Jimmy and Virginia Outlaw, Ron and Donna Denham, Christy Shaeffer and Gerlad and Barbra Blizzard
She is a 2008 graduate of Southern Wayne High School.
The groom is the son of Glenn and Devonya Massey and the grandson of Tom and Faye Massey, Charles and Virginia Turnage and Charles and Ruth Massey
He is a 2005 graduate of Southern Wayne High School. He is employed with the Goldsboro Fire Department.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a white satin dress with red trim, a lace-up corset back with pearl and crystal beading with a semi-cathedral train.
Kristin Wise was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Angie Shaeffer, Amy Massey and Shayna Denham.
Glenn Massey was best man.
Groomsmen were Will Barrett, Matt Piscane and Todd Williams.
Mary Grayce Outlaw was flower girl. Marshall Outlaw was ringbearer.
Charlene Summerlin directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Devan Shaeffer. Reese Shaeffer distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by David Wiler, pianist, and Cindy Coor and Joey Coor, vocalists. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at May’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower March 15 at Rhodes Friends Church hosted by the grooms parents; a dinner April 17 at Hams hosted by the bride’s mother and aunts; and a bridal shower April 19 at Rosewood Church of God hosted by Gerrie Shaeffer.
A rehearsal dinner was held May 1 at Gratham Fire Department.
