Dixon - Gurdin
WINSTON-SALEM — Lisa Gurdin of Winston-Salem and Dave Dixon of Winston-Salem exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 18 at noon at Davis Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Ron Grillo officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Charles Stephen Gurdin Jr. and Martha Hosack Gurdin of Dallas, Pa., and the granddaughter of Helen Gurdin of Long Island, N.Y., the late Charles Gurdin Sr. and the late Thomas and Rebecca Hosack.
She is a 2007 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Pharmacy. She is employed as a pharmacist at Forsyth Medical Center.
The groom is the son of David Linwood and Debbie Johnson Dixon of Dudley and the grandson of the late Thomas Byard Dixon Sr., Emma Dixon, Louise Johnson of Goldsboro and the late Walter Johnson Jr.
He is a 2006 graduate of Campbell University School of Pharmacy. He is employed as a pharmacist at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
Kristen Gurdin was her sister’s matron of honor.
David Dixon was his son’s best man.
Presiding at the register was Hilary Gadish.
A program of wedding music was provided by Neva Handley, organist.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Zevely House in Winston-Salem.
After a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple reside in Winston-Salem.
