Shingleton - Pahl
RALEIGH — Sara Elizabeth Pahl and Larry Francis Shingleton Jr. exchanged vows Oct. 25 at 2 p.m. at Saint Michael’s Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Samuel Gregory Jones officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Pahl Jr. of Raleigh and the granddaughter of Roxanna Pahl of Raleigh, the late William A. Pahl Sr., and the late Ramie Sugg and the late Mr. Donald Sugg of Archdale.
She graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering. She is employed at Tompkins Associates in Raleigh.
The groom is the son of Wilma Brown of Goldsboro and Larry Shingleton Sr. of Pikeville and the grandson of Virginia Hudson and Bailey Shingleton of Goldsboro, the late William H. Wells and Louise Edwards of Pikeville.
He graduated from North Carolina State University. He is employed at Moduslink in Raleigh.
Anna Giuli of Raleigh was her sister’s matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Catherine Landis and Allison Haught of Raleigh, cousins of the bride, and Tiffany Threewitts, Nicole Arnold and Meredith Covington of Raleigh.
Larry Shingleton Sr. and Bryan Davis of Goldsboro were best men.
Groomsmen were Tony Giuli of Raleigh, brother-in-law of the bride, Jim Beck of Raleigh, cousin of the bride, and Andy Snead and John Kafes of Raleigh.
Rachel, Emily and Grace Voncannon of Pinehurst, cousins of the bride, were flower girls. Benton Giuli, nephew of the bride, was ringbearer.
A program of wedding music was provided by Kevin Kerstetter, organist, and Anita Burroughs-Price, harpist.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at The State Club in the Dorothy and Roy Park Alumni Center on the North Carolina State University Centennial Campus. Stephanie Albert of Raleigh and Veronica Davis of Goldsboro greeted guests.
After a wedding trip to Costa Rica, they couple reside in Raleigh.
The groom’s family hosted a rehearsal dinner at Saint Michael’s Episcopal Church.
