Rouse - Holmes
PIKEVILLE — Jennifer Sue Holmes of Goldsboro and David Clinton Rouse of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony July 26 at 3 p.m. at Pikeville Community Center, with Ed Drew and Faye Rouse officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Jesse Thomas Holmes of Florida and Jackie Stallings of Goldsboro, the stepdaughter of Robert Stallings and the granddaughter of Jesse Holmes, the late Hazel Holmes and Thomas and Mary Nelson of Mount Olive.
She is a 1996 graduate of Southern Wayne High School. She is employed as manager of Merita Bakery Outlet.
The groom is the son of James Michael Rouse of Walnut Creek and Faye Baines Rouse of Washington, the stepson of Billie Rouse and the grandson of the late Clinton and Hazel Rouse of Warsaw and the late Offie and Kathleen Baines of Enfield.
He is a 1990 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He is employed as network manager at the Goldsboro News-Argus.
The bride was escorted by her parents and given in marriage by her parents and stepfather.
She wore a strapless A-line ivory gown with apple-red trim.
Brandy Godwin was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Crystal Boudy and Kelly O’Banion.
Michael Rouse was best man.
Groomsmen were Kevin Webb and Chris Clark.
Destiney Anderson was flower girl. Kevin Anderson was ringbearer.
Rebecca Bartik directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Scott Bartik.
Special helpers were Caren and Jenny Wells, Denise Draughon and Gina Gardner.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Pikeville Community Center.
After a wedding trip to New Bern, the couple reside in Goldsboro.
A house-warming party will be held at a later date.
Events held before the wedding included a bachelor party July 19 hosted by friends of the groom; a bachelorette party June 28 hosted by the sister of the bride; a wedding shower May 19 at La Paz Restaurant hosted by Brandy Godwin; and a parents’ dinner at Wilber’s Barbecue March 13 hosted by the couple.
