Villiard-Carter
Carey Marie Carter and Daryll Villiard exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony July 26 at 5 p.m. at Walnut Creek Country Club, with Pastor John Earnest officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Ken R. and Jane Carter of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Christine Weaver, the late Christopher Weaver, the late Esther Carter and Ray Carter of Goldsboro.
She is a graduate of East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in community health and Wayne Community College with a dental assisting degree. She is employed as a dental assistant with Dr. Brooke Bundy.
The groom is the son of Richard Charles Sr. and Jo ann Villiard of Pembroke, Mass., and the grandson of the late Joseph and Eleanor Thomas of Norfolk, Mass., and the late Bessie Villiard and Harry Villiard Sr. of Boston, Mass.
He is a graduate of Mount Olive College with a bachelor’s degree in business management.
He is serving in the Air Force.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a formal off-white A-line floor-length strapless gown. The fitted bodice was embellished.
Bridesmaids were Shelly Braswell and Lindsey Turnage, sisters of the bride, and Kelly Hamilton, Natalie Keck and Ashley VanderVelde, friends of the bride.
Matt Collingridge was best man.
Groomsmen were Richard C. Villiard, father of the groom, and Joseph Holdcroft and Brett Tillison, friends.
Kylie Robbins, niece of the groom, and Avery Braswell, niece of the bride, were flower girls. Logan Turnage and Hayden Braswell, nephews of the groom, were ring bearers.
Dava Rose directed the wedding. Dawnelle Villiard, sister of the groom, distributed programs.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Walnut Creek Country Club’s ballroom.
After a wedding trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple reside in Goldsboro.
Events held before the wedding included a shower July 13 hosted by Kelly Smith and co-workers and a couple’s shower June 8 hosted by the bride’s mother and sisters, Shelly Braswell and Lindsey Turnage.
