Clayton - Brock
SUNSET BEACH — Janelle Kauleen Brock of Washington and Paul Leon Clayton IV of Washington exchanged vows in a double-ring seashore ceremony June 7 at 6:30 p.m., with Russell Dawley officiating.
The bride is the daughter of W. Karl Brock and Patti Simmons of Belhaven and the granddaughter of the late Ollie and Deanie Brock of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Fred M. and Peggy Simmons of Dallas, Texas.
She is a 1999 graduate of Grand Prairie High School in Texas and a 2008 graduate of Beaufort County Community College with a certificate in esthetic technologies.
The groom is the son of P. Leon Clayton III and Kathy Clayton of Goldsboro and the grandson of the late Paul L. Clayton Jr. and Ann D. Clayton, Jerome Johnson and the late Beatrice Johnson of Savannah, Ga.
He is a 2002 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School and a 2004 graduate of Wayne Community College with an associate degree in turfgrass management. He is employed at the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a flowing ivory halter gown with a beaded empire waist.
Amy Dawley of Washington was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Makenzie Hamilton of Kensington, Md., and Emily Brock of Dallas.
Tyler Gatlin of Goldsboro was best man.
Groomsmen were P. Leon Clayton III of Goldsboro and W. Karl Brock of Belhaven.
Kelsey Lennon Wilson, daughter of the bride, was flower girl. Logan Matthew Wilson, son of the bride, was ringbearer.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Chestnut Hill Restaurant in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
After a wedding trip to Sunset Beach, the couple reside in Washington.
