Williford - Barfield
Rebecca Nicole Barfield and Jimmy Faison Williford exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 17 at 4 p.m. at the Wayne County Wildlife Pond, with the Rev. Dale Belvin officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Earl Wayne and Nancy Carol Barfield of Lucama and the granddaughter of Doris Collier of Kenly.
She graduated from James B. Hunt High School in Wilson and East Carolina University School of Nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse at Walter B. Jones Rehab Center in Greenville.
The groom is the son of Oscar and Ann Mooring of Pikeville and the grandson of Sarah Williams of Pikeville.
He graduated from Rosewood High School. He is a member of Antioch Fire Department. He is employed at Benton and Sons Stainless Steel fabricators.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father.
She wore a strapless A-line dress with a beaded bodice.
Her headpiece was an elbow-length veil with beaded accent.
The bride carried a bouquet of calla lilies, orange roses and other assorted flowers.
Kristie Davis was the maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Malissa Graham and Maegan Williams.
Oscar Mooring was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were D.J. Mooring, Michael Holmes and Wayne Howell.
Misty Gabriel and Amanda Lucas directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Jessica Pittman. Kathryn Smith distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Jeff Lane, vocalist.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Wayne County Wildlife Clubhouse.
The couple reside in Pikeville.
Events held before the wedding included a lingerie shower at the home of the bride hosted by the bridesmaids; a Pampered Chef shower at the home of the bride hosted by employees of Dr. Gene Glover; and a bridal shower April 6 at Springhill Presbyterian Church fellowship center hosted by family and friends.
A rehearsal dinner was held at B.J. Cafe in Eureka.
