Gouty - Fletcher
ASHEBORO — Faith Anne Fletcher of Durham and Jarrod Ross Gouty of Durham exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 7 at 6 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Barry Queen and the Rev. Bobby Fletcher, father of the bride, officiating.
The bride is the daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Bobby Fletcher of Williamston and the late Barbara “Babs” Bankhead Fletcher, formerly of Hamlet, the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Fletcher of Cordova and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bankhead of Hamlet and the step-granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Elmore and Kay Mahaffey of Rockingham.
She is a 2003 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School and a 2006 graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Social Work degree. She is employed as a social worker in child protective services with Johnston County Department of Social Services.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Gouty of Asheboro, formerly of Fremont, and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Britt of Maysville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Gouty of New Bern.
He is a 2004 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School and attends the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for a bachelor degree in communications. He is employed with BB&T in Raleigh.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her father and stepmother.
She wore a champagne strapless beaded metallic embroidered ballgown with satin pick-up skirt and contrast sash detail and chapel train.
Her headpiece was a fingertip-length veil with vine motif embroidered with metallic beading matching the gown.
The bride carried hydrangeas, miniature calla lilies and spray roses.
Katrina Fletcher of Williamston was her sister’s maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Jennifer Parker of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Stacy Parker of Robbins, Jessica Williams of Suffolk, Va., Justine Barnes and Amanda Grantham of Goldsboro and Diana Bisbee of Raleigh.
James Gouty was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Ethan Gouty of Asheboro, brother of the groom, Michael Sawyer of Suffolk, Matthew Smith and Joseph Carter of Fremont and James Bisbee of Raleigh.
Junior bridesmaids were Krystal Fletcher of Williamston, sister of the bride, and MacKenzie Groh of Lake Wiley, S.C., cousin of the bride.
Aiden Liston, nephew of the bride, was ringbearer.
Kim Groh of Lake Wiley, cousin of the bride, and Emily Matkins of Asheboro directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and serving as honorary bridesmaids were Stephanie Balance of Eureka and Jill Davis of Fremont.
A program of wedding music was provided by Lisa Duke of Williamston and Jay Locklear of Sanford.
Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance reception was held at the Asheboro Country Club. The groom’s parents hosted a dinner at their home following the rehearsal.
After a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple reside in Durham.
