Cozart - Wood
WILMINGTON — Rebecca Lauren Wood of Goldsboro and Thomas Allan Cozart Jr. of Wilson exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 7 at 6 p.m. at Figure Eight Harbour, with P.D. Midget officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rickard Locklair Wood of Charleston, S.C., and Sylvia Wells Wood of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late Frank Butler and Ruby Agnes Wood of Charleston and Lewis Preston Wells Jr. and the late Geraldine Sutton Wells of Mount Olive.
She is employed as a customer service representative at The Little Bank.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Allan Cozart of Wilson and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Strader of Wilmington and the grandson of Mrs. Sydnor Moye and the late Sydnor Moye Cozart of Wilson and the late Allon Z. Whitt and Mrs. Whitt of Raleigh.
He is employed as a superintendent at J. W. Hunter Construction.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father.
Thomas Allan Cozart was his son’s best man.
A program of wedding music was provided by Kathy Meyer, cellist, and Christine Meyer, violinist.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the groom’s mother and stepfather.
After a wedding trip to Little Dix Bay, Virgin Gorda, the couple reside in Wilson.
Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower May 17 at Murphey’s hosted by Bobbie Wells, Lisa Wells, Teresa Gfeller and Hope Paugh.
A rehearsal dinner was held at the Country Club of Landfall.
