Casey - Sullivan
Stacey Michelle Sullivan and William Lee Casey exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony April 12 at 3 p.m. at Waynesborough Historical Village, with the Rev. John S. Norman officiating.
The bride is the daughter of John Lawrence Jr. and Sara Pippin Sullivan of LaGrange and the granddaughter of John Lawrence Sr. and Dorothy Marie Stallings Sullivan of Goldsboro and the late John Lafayette Sr. and Inez Loftin Pippin of Fremont.
She is a 2002 honor graduate of North Lenoir High School and a 2007 graduate of Lenoir Community College with an associate degree in nursing. She is employed as a nurse at Wayne Memorial Hospital’s 7th floor.
The groom is the son of William Douglas and Patricia Stroud Casey of Seven Springs and the grandson of the late William Gordon and Mary Magdalene Jackson Casey of Seven Springs and the late George Lee and Viola Muriel Harper Stroud of Albertson.
He is a 1995 graduate of Southern Wayne High School.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a white strapless satin gown with split-front chiffon overlay adorned with rhinestones. Hand-beaded appliqués and rhinestones adorned the crimped chiffon bodice. The A-line skirt closed into a sweeping train adorned with rhinestones.
Her headpiece was a two-tiered veil adorned with rhinestones.
The bride carried a bouquet of hot pink, dark pink and salmon Gerber daisies hand-tied with brown and pink satin ribbon.
Mindy Rouse and Diana Soles were their friend’s matrons of honor, while Ashley Sullivan, sister of the bride, was maid of honor.
William Douglas Casey was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Kevin Flora and Dan Price, friends of the groom.
Adrianna Davis, friend of the bride, was flower girl. John Davis, friend of the bride, was ringbearer.
Allyson Price, friend of the bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Eva Love, cousin of the bride. Eva Love, cousin of the bride, distributed programs.
Following the ceremony a dinner and dance were held at Jack’s Clubhouse in LaGrange.
After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S. C., the couple reside in Seven Springs.
Events held before the wedding included a lingerie shower April 5 at the home of Diana Soles hosted by Mindy Rouse, Ms. Soles and Ashley Sullivan; a bridal shower March 27 hosted by co-workers of the bride; a miscellaneous shower March 2 at Seven Springs Volunteer Fire Department hosted by the couple’s mothers; a miscellaneous shower Feb. 16 at the Sullivan home hosted by Linda Love, the bride’s grandparents and Carolyn Sullivan; and a Christmas shower Nov. 24 at the Rouse home hosted by Deborah Rouse, Mindy Rouse and Diana Soles.
A rehearsal dinner was held April 11 at Madison’s Prime Rib. The couple chose this time to present gifts to their attendants.
