Walker - Carter
Wendy Davis Carter and Aaron Britton Walker exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony April 27 at 2 p.m. at Herman Park, with R. Allen Jones officiating.
The bride is the daughter of James Larry and Carolyn Baxley Davis of Greensboro and the granddaughter of the late Emmett and Annie Baxley Edwards of Greensboro and the late George Henry and Frances Brown Davis of Asheboro.
She graduated from Northeast Guilford High School, Guilford Technical Community College with a basic law enforcement training certification, Wayne Community College with an emergency medical technician certification and Johnston Community College with an intermediate certification. She attends Davidson Community College for her paramedic certification. She is employed as an emergency medical technician intermediate at Wayne County Emergency Medical Services.
The groom is the son of Eddie Ray and Lorelle Jernigan Walker of Kinston and the grandson of Robert “Bobby” Eugene and Civel Edwards Jernigan, the late Leon “Buddy” Orlando of Kinston and Reta Mae Walker of Kinston.
He graduated from South Lenior High School and Lenoir Community College with a certification in basic law enforcement. He is employed as a staff sergeant with the Air Force Reserves.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
Hunter Nicole Allison was her mother’s maid of honor.
Eddie Ray Walker was his son’s best man.
Gabrielle Micayla Carter, daughter of bride, was flower girl. Chason McKinnon Walker, brother of groom, was ringbearer.
The bride’s mother directed the wedding. Beverly and Terry Norton, Ramona Kinlaw, Joe McGee, Marion Johnson and Terri Gaskey were special helpers.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception at Herman Park house.
The couple will take a wedding trip later to Jamaica. They reside in Mount Olive.
