Shelley-Harris
KINSTON — Daryl Lynn Harris of New Bern and Kyle Leif Shelley of New Bern exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony April 26 at 2 p.m. at Kinston Church of Christ, with Dan McLuskie of Houston, Texas, brother-in-law of the groom, officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Katherine Dove Harris of Kinston and the granddaughter of Billy Lee and Martha Genette Dove of LaGrange.
She is a 2004 graduate of North Lenoir High School and is pursuing a degree in photography and business management. She is employed as a photography assistant at Precious Portraits by D’Arco.
The groom is the son of Dennis Jesse and Cindy Cummings Shelley of Chehalis, Wash., and the grandson of the late Jesse and Marion Shelley and the late Alex and Violet Cummings.
He is a 2002 graduate of Troy High School in Montana and will pursue a degree in law enforcement upon the end of his active service. He is serving in the Marine Corps in the Marine Wing Communications Squadron-28 stationed at MCAS Cherry Point in Havelock.
The bride was escorted by her grandfather, Billy Dove, and given in marriage by her mother.
She wore an A-line gown with a beaded metallic bodice and an inverted V-empire waist with a cathedral train and an elbow length veil with scattered pearls and crystals.
The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of red roses and white lilies.
Bobbie Harris and Kaylee Shelley were maids of honor.
Samuel Shelley and Dennis Shelley were best men.
A program of wedding music was provided by Samantha Sutton, vocalist.
The couple reside in New Bern.
A rehearsal dinner was held April 25 at the Barn Steakhouse.
