Mrs. Tyndall

Jennifer Lynn Bingham and John Hugh Tyndall exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony April 12 at 3 p.m. at Providence United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Tony McLamb officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Bingham of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Joyce Barwick and the late Harvey Jay Barwick of Mount Olive and Margaret Bingham and the late Charles Bingham of Shelby.

She is a 2002 honor graduate of Southern Wayne High School and 2006 summa cum laude graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business education and information technology. She attends East Carolina University for a Masters of Science degree in information technology. She is employed as a business teacher at Spring Creek High School.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Tyndall of Goldsboro and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Mack Denning of Goldsboro and Barbara Tyndall and the late John Tyndall of LaGrange.

He graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 2002 and Wayne Community College in 2005 with associate degrees in agribusiness and livestock and poultry technology. He is employed with the cattle division at Goldsboro Milling Co.

The bride was escorted by her father and presented in marriage by her parents.

She wore a white taffeta gown with a beaded sweetheart neckline with cap sleeves adorned with beaded appliqués. The dropped waistline led to a bustled skirt accented by tucking of sequins in the chapel-length train.

Her headpiece was a fingertip-length veil with scattered pearls, crystals and beading attached to a tiara accented with pearls and rhinestones.

The bride carried a bouquet of white roses and calla lilies.

Heather Beaman of Mount Olive was her friend’s maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were April Tucker of Goldsboro, cousin of the groom, and Mary Michael Weaver of Mount Olive, Kristen Moody of Dudley and Jennifer Sparrow of Pikeville, friends of the bride.

Terry Tyndall was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Bradley Bradshaw of Goldsboro, friend of the groom; Jason Bingham of Goldsboro, brother of the bride; Brandon Tucker of Seven Springs, cousin of the groom; and Sam Lawhorn of Goldsboro, cousin of the bride.

Sue Hill directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register was Jo Roscoe, aunt of the groom. Michael Roscoe, cousin of the groom, distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Tim Bradshaw, pianist, and Joe Tucker, sound technician.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall. Delaine Tucker, aunt of the groom, and Tommy and Becky Lawhorn, uncle and aunt of the bride, greeted guests. Helpers were Sue Beaman, Kristen Beaman, Cassie Tucker, Hunter Roscoe, Joanie Bradshaw, Beverly Westbrook, Beverly Harrell and Ann Sullivan. Lindsay Cornwell and Angela Bingham, cousins of the bride, poured punch. Carol Ferguson and Hazel Tilghman, aunts of the groom, cut the wedding cake.

After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple reside in Grantham.

Events held before the wedding included a bridesmaids’ luncheon April 5 at Texas Steakhouse hosted by the bride’s mother during which time the bride chose to present gifts to her attendants; a dinner party March 21 at the home of Lisa Jones hosted by Ms. Jones and Erlene Brogden; a bridal shower March 16 at Falling Creek Church hosted by the United Methodist Women; a bridal shower March 11 at Spring Creek School hosted by the CTE department; a his and hers shower March 9 at Providence Church hosted by Wanda Tyndall, Ann Denning, Delaine Tucker, Cassie Tucker, Frances Jones, Ann Sullivan and Mary Ella Best, family and friends of the groom; a date night shower March 1 at the home of Heather Beaman hosted by Ms. Beaman and Laura Rachel Rouse, friends of the bride; a tool and handyman party March 1 at Neuse Bend Hunting Club hosted by Dean and Jason Bingham and Tommy and Sam Lawhorn, family of the bride; and a bridal shower Feb. 16 at the home of Carol Ferguson hosted by Ms. Ferguson, Donna Bradshaw, Barbara Tyndall, Jo Roscoe and Hazel Tilghman, family of the groom.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner April 11 in the church fellowship hall. The groom chose this time to present gifts to his attendants.
