Overman - Spence
Tasha Lynn Spence and Emerson Leigh Overman Jr. of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Dec. 26 at 2 p.m. at the Overman home, with Leon Overman officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Gregory Allen Spence and Crystal Lenior Caulder Spence of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late Hollis Cornellis and Ruby Inez Pruitt Spence of Mount Olive and Luther Caulder Jr. and the late Doris Ezzell Caulder of Goldsboro.
She attended Charles B. Aycock High School.
The groom is the son of Emerson Leigh Overman of Elizabeth City and Teresa Burgess Overman of Goldsboro and the grandson of Leonard White and Viola Renee Overman of Elizabeth City and Doris Dawson and the late Desmond Waters Burgess of Goldsboro.
He attended Eastern Wayne High School. He is employed as a contractor at Albermarle Fence Co.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father.
She wore a full-length strapless white dress with black heart-shaped designs and a long train.
Her headpiece was two-tiered and knee-length satin.
The bride carried a bouquet of blue poinsettias with yellow and black flowers.
Amy Rutledge was matron of honor, while Christy Spence was maid of honor.
Dakota Ariel Spence, daughter, was flower girl. Desmond Sean Overman, son, was ringbearer.
Tamela Caulder directed the wedding.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Overman home. A three-tiered wedding cake was served.
A rehearsal dinner was held Dec. 23.
