Laymon - Jennings
WILMINGTON — Dana Elizabeth Jennings and Michael Alan Laymon of Wilmington exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 27 at 4 p.m. at Airlie Gardens, with the Rev. Donnie King officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. John Lee Jennings Jr. of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Dorothy Jennings and the late John Lee Jennings Sr. of Snug Harbor and the late Mr. and Mrs. Amos Richard of New Bedford, Mass.
She is a graduate of Arendell Parrott Academy and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a bachelor’s degree in business and human resources. She is employed as a membership administrator with Wilmington Association of Realtors.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Laymon of Knightdale and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Laymon of Knightdale and Marie Luciani and the late Vincent J. Luciani of Egg Harbor Township, N.J.
He is a graduate of East Wake High School and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a bachelor’s degree in geography. He is employed with Wachovia Bank.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
Rebecca Lee was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Lauren Jennings, sister of the bride, Ashley Shivar, Hannah Lee and Georgieanne Stewart.
Bracken Gentry was best man.
Groomsmen were Daniel Laymon, brother of the groom, Jason Bostian, Will Miller and Derek Brewer.
Abigail and Keilah Panz were flower girls. Price King was ring bearer.
A program of wedding music was provided by Jake Taylor and The Johnny Dollar Band.
After a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple reside in Wilmington.
Events held before the wedding included showers hosted by Judy Payne and Mary Morris, Tammy and Greg Lee, staff of Goldsboro Skin Center, Sandra, Katie and Marie Laymon and the Potter’s Class of Bethlehem Baptist Church of Knightdale and a pig picking hosted by Mary and Lee Laymon.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at Wilson’s Restaurant.
