GOLDSBORO — Teresa Kay Waters and Michael Anthony Wise of Grantham exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 6 at 3 p.m. at Waynesborough Historical Village, with the Rev. Kelvin Gurley, friend of the bride, officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Linwood Earl and Wanda Kay Gregory Waters of Grantham and the granddaughter of the late Tobias “Toby” and Margret Elizabeth Waters of Saulston and the late George Idell Gregory of Goldsboro and Edna Overton Stiffler of Goldsboro.

She is a Southern Wayne High School graduate and earned an associate degree at Wayne Community College.

She works as a pharmacy technician.

The groom is the son of Ronald Bill Wise and the stepson of Kathryn Wise of Grantham. He is the grandson of Betty Dunn Ham of Goldsboro and Mr. and Mrs. Everett Wise of Grantham.

He is employed as a carpentry supervisor at Jackson Builders Inc.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a white Italian satin, princess style strapless A-line gown with a fitted bodice and split front overskirt that extended into a chapel train. The bodice was accented with embroidery. The overskirt was joined at the waist with rhinestone appliqués and adorned with embroidery that flowed to the chapel train.

The bride chose a crystal and pearl accented tiara for her headpiece.

She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white roses, autumn-colored roses, seeded eucalyptus, and hypericum berries that was accented with pearl sprays.

Kayla Brooke Waters and Lindy Renee Young, daughters of the couple, served as maids of honor, while Ronald Bill Wise, father of the groom, and Michael Scott Sweet, friend of the groom, served as best men.

Groomsmen were Kevin Gregory Waters, brother of the bride, and Willie Colby Wise, brother of the groom.

Abigail Lynne Wise, daughter of the couple, and Kailee Elizabeth Waters, niece of the bride, were flower girls. Colby Dylan Wise, nephew of the groom, was ringbearer.

Beverly Fenech directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Samantha Brittany Pate.

Scripture reader was Mary Anita Alfaro, friend of the bride.

Special helpers were Christine Mozingo, friend of the couple; Al Alfaro, friend of the couple; and Zack Wall, friend of the groom.

Music was provided by LeAnn Keen and Carlton Hinson, friends of the bride, vocalists, and Bill Warren, friend of the couple, sound technician.

Following the ceremony, an outdoor reception was held at Waynesborough Historical Village. John Waters, uncle of the bride, helped with preparations. Belinda Gregory, aunt of the bride, and Tiffany Griffin, cousin of the bride, were servers. A three-tiered wedding cake accented with beaded pearls, autumn leaves and flowers was presented and served by Amber Capps, cousin of the bride. Phyllis Godwin, aunt of the bride, poured punch.

After a wedding trip to Wintergreen in the late winter, the couple will reside in Grantham.

A girls’ night out was hosted by Mary Anita Alfaro, friend of the bride, in Greenville on Sept. 8.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal party with finger foods at Waynesborough Historical Village on Oct. 5.
