Inman - Tatum
GOLDSBORO — Angela Faye Tatum and Timothy Ross Inman exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 27 at 2 p.m. at Ray of Hope Church, with Dr. Herbert Carter and the Rev. Edward Tatum officiating.
The bride is the daughter of the Rev. Edward and Faye Tatum of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late William G. and Annie Tatum of Dublin and the late James and Hazel Woodard of Goldsboro.
She is a graduate of Clinton High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Liberty University and a Master of Social Work degree from East Carolina University.
She is employed as a clinical social worker at Cherry Hospital.
The groom is the son of Lila and the late Timothy Inman of Erwin and the grandson of the late Betty Strickland of Erwin and the late Robert and Elizabeth Stevens of Rinkin, Ga.
He is a graduate of Triton High School and received a Bachelor of Religious Education degree from Heritage Bible College.
He is employed as a teller at RBC Centura Bank.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a formal gown of pearl Italian satin. The strapless gown featured a slim, fitted silhouette delicately embellished with floral motifs of pearls and crystal bugle beads asymmetrically adorning the bodice and the hem of the trumpet skirt. Her gown was finished with satin-covered buttons and a rounded-sweep train. She wore a fingertip veil of two-tiered illusion accented with garlands of crystal beading sprinkled along its scalloped border.
The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of autumn roses.
Julie Major of Waynesboro, Va., served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Bonnie Carr of Garland, Nicole Dunn of Erwin and Shyla Tatum of Raleigh.
Ashley Dunn of Erwin served as best man.
Groomsmen were Spencer Davis of Erwin, Kevin Matthews of Wilmington and James Tatum of Raleigh.
Ushers were Kevin Angier of Coats, Edward Byrd of Lillington and Paul Lucas of Wade.
Cora Stickney, cousin of the groom, was flower girl. Dylan Huffman, cousin of the bride, was ringbearer.
Jean Wilson directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Adam Stevens and Kaylie Stevens, cousins of the groom. Ashley Gurkin distributed programs.
Bev Gurkin and Sissy Day were special helpers.
A program of wedding music was provided by Kristen King, pianist, and Chris Gurkin and Kim Angier, vocalists.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception at the Fellowship Hall of Stoney Creek Church.
After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple reside in Pine Level.
The groom’s mother hosted a rehearsal dinner Oct. 26 at the Ray of Hope Church Fellowship Hall.
Events before the wedding included a wedding shower at Erwin Church of God in Erwin, hosted by the groom’s family and friends; a bridal shower at Ray of Hope Church in Goldsboro, hosted by the bride’s family; a miscellaneous shower at Ray of Hope Church hosted by members of the church; a bridal shower hosted by the Cherry Hospital Social Work staff; and a lingerie shower hosted by friends of the bride. A bridesmaid luncheon was held at the Royal Tea Room on Oct. 26.
