McInnis - Luce
FREMONT — Sheila Marie Luce and Jonathan David McInnis exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Sept. 22 at 4:30 p.m. at White Oak Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Gene Thompson officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Wayne David and Anne Marie Luce of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Harold Luce and Faith Luce of Jamestown, N.Y., and Edward and Donna Petransky of Frewsburg, N.Y.
She graduated from Jamestown Community College and Fredonia State University in New York. She is employed as an office manager at 20/20 Vision Center.
The groom is the son of Joseph and Mary Ellen McInnis of Goldsboro and the grandson of Edna McInnis and the late Pat McInnis of Melbourne, Fla., Dorothy Betts of Goldsboro and the late Paul Betts.
He graduated from Wayne Community College. He is employed as a manager at Chick-Fil-A Corp.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father.
She wore a white full-length gown that cinched at the waist to a full pick-up skirt that gathered the satin material. The fitted bodice and skirt were brought together with a handmade burnt orange sash and rhinestone broach. She wore an heirloom necklace, a gift from her great-grandmother.
Her headpiece was a rhinestone tiara and a blusher veil.
The bride carried white, peach and orange roses embellished with rhinestone jewels and a matching burnt orange ribbon that pulled them together at the base with hypericum berries, orange and red dendrobium orchids, seeded eucalyptus and rust daises.
Jamie Erwin was her cousin’s maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Elisabeth McInnis and Rebekah McInnis, sisters of the groom.
Russell Wade was his friend’s best man.
Groomsmen were Alfonzo Jones and David Thompson, friends of the groom.
Joshua McInnis, brother of the groom, was the usher.
Jennifer Wade directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Lorinda Coffin.
A program of wedding music was provided by Krista Thompson, pianist, and D.J. Coles, vocalist.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents
After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple reside in Goldsboro.
Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower in New York hosted by Janet Erwin; a tool party/bachelor party hosted by Russell Wade; a lingerie shower hosted by Jennifer Wade; and a bridal shower hosted by the ladies of White Oak Presbyterian Church.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at Pupeta’s Italian Restaurant.
