Keel - Schatzman
Stacy Marie Schatzman and Paul Wilson Keel exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Sept. 29 at 4 p.m. at Pine Forest United Methodist Church, with Billy A. Olsen officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Sheri Annette McDonald and William H. Schatzman of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late Willis Thurman and Lillian Ruth Goodbar of Xenia, Ohio, and the late Eileen Beatrice Sattler of Hillsboro, Ohio.
She is a 1998 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School and a 2003 graduate of Randolph Community College of Asheboro with an Associate in Applied Science degree in portrait photography. She is employed with Wanda’s.
The groom is the son of Paul Kenneth Keel and Lynda Sutton Keel of Goldsboro and the grandson of the late Woodrow Wilson “Dick” Sutton, Louise Gurley Sutton, the late Paul James Keel and Eleanor Williams Keel of Goldsboro.
He is a 1996 graduate of Rosewood High School. He is employed with Institution Food House of Florence, S.C.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a strapless French ivory mocha satin gown. The bodice was enhanced with antique silver embroidery embellished with bugle beading, pearls, sequins and crystals. It had a mocha pleated satin sash with a French chapel-length draped train.
Her headpiece was a single-tiered rolled-edge fingertip veil.
The bride carried a clutch bouquet of miniature flame calla lilies with croten leaves tied with ivory ribbon accented with clear stones.
Ashley Schatzman of Seneca Falls, N.Y., and Kelli Schatzman of Greenville were their sister’s maids of honor.
Renee Bullock of Goldsboro, friend of the bride, was the bridesmaid.
Russ Howell of Kokomo, Ind., was best man.
Groomsmen were Lathan Keel and Morgan Keel of Goldsboro, brothers of the groom, and Rick Brohman of Ware, Mass., friend of the couple.
Ushers were Jason Smith of Goldsboro, Joshua Jendrisak of Greenville and Chad Robertson of Charlotte, friends of the couple.
Rosemary Keel, aunt of the groom, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Jamie Smith. Jessica Hardison and Tyler Gardner distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Nathan Lean, pianist; Jenny Heim, violinist; and Donald Coles Jr. and Lina Carter, vocalists.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception at Walnut Creek Country Club. Peggy Ann Dean, aunt of the bride; Tom Goodbar, uncle of the bride; and Stanley and Janice Keel, uncle and aunt of the groom; greeted guests.
After a wedding trip to Orlando, Fla., the couple reside in Goldsboro.
Events held before the wedding included a handyman shower Sept. 22 hosted by Rosewood Volunteer Fire Department; a miscellaneous shower Sept. 2 at the home of the groom’s parents hosted by Rosemary and Beverly Keel; a room shower Aug. 12 at the home of the bride’s parents hosted by Ashley and Kelli Schatzman and Renee Bullock; and a bridal luncheon Aug. 11 at the Royal Tea Room hosted by Susan Odum.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at Hampton Inn.
