Bass - Davis
Bonnie Petway Davis of Fremont and Bobbie R. Bass Sr. exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony July 9 at 3:30 p.m. at the Wayne County Court House, with Magistrate Gaspar R. Gonzales officiating.
The bride is the daughter of the late Ernest D. and Myrtle Cooley Petway of Elm City and the granddaughter of the late Dock Petway, Bertha Sullivan Petway and the late Roy and Lillie Cooley of Elm City.
She attended Elm City High School. She is employed as a pharmacist helper at Fremont Pharmacy.
The groom is the son of the late William B. Bass and Pearl Wells Bass of Elm City and the grandson of the late Frank and Cora Boone Bass and the late Wiley Gray and Gena Bullock Wells of Elm City.
He attended Elm City High School. He is retired from the Air Force and Bridgestone/Firestone with UNICCO Maintenance.
A reception will be held Sept. 9 at 5 p.m. at the American Legion of Elm City.
After a wedding trip to Atlantic Beach, the couple reside in Fremont.
