Lavasser - Johnson
SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. — Jessie Lou Johnson of LaGrange and Buddy Lavasser of LaGrange exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 31 at 1 p.m. at Bluff Mountain, with Darrell Lee officiating.
The bride is the daughter of David and Sylvia Johnson of Wade and the granddaughter of the late T.H. and Johnnie Lou Johnson of Wade and the late Joe and Lucy Hampton of Gastonia.
She is a graduate of Johnston Community College with a medical nursing degree and attended the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She is employed as a medical assistant at LaGrange Pediatrics.
The groom is the son of Lenny Lavasser of Bristol, Tenn., and Sandra Parker of Wilmington and the grandson of Alberta King of St. Johnsbury, Vt. and the late Charlie Noyse, Gertrude Chamberlain and the late Reginald Chamberlain of Lyndonville, Vt.
He attended Johnston Community College and will attend Wayne Community College for a nursing degree. He is employed as a stocker at Food Lion of Mount Olive.
The bride wore a white chiffon A-line gown with a halter neckline embellished with embroidered flowers.
She carried a bouquet of wildflowers with three white roses.
After a wedding trip to Pigeon Forge, Tenn., and Sevierville, the couple reside in LaGrange.
