Lambert-Evans
SEVEN SPRINGS — Amber Marie Evans of Seven Springs and Michael Jay Lambert of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 5 at 3 p.m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Holmes, with the Rev. Sherman Guthrie officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Timothy and Tamsey Evans of Walstonburg and John and Wanda Lane of Seven Springs and the granddaughter of Evelyn Stith and the late Billy Stith of Goldsboro, Dorothy Lane and the late Monroe Lane of Mount Olive and Dorothy Eason and the late Bobby Eason of LaGrange.
She graduated from Spring Creek High School in 2004. She is employed as an administrative assistant at Bryson and Bryson Builders.
The groom is the son of Jay and Linda Lambert of Mount Olive and Jeff and Carolyn Walker of Goldsboro and the grandson of the late Joe and Margie Bass of Pikeville, John Mason of Princeton and Dorothy Mason and Harold and Gale Walker of Goldsboro.
He is employed as a sales representative at Godwin Door and Hardware.
The bride was escorted by her fathers and given in marriage by her family.
She wore an A-line dress of chiffon over satin with a sweep train and a square neckline.
She carried a cascading bouquet of spring flowers.
Kayla Lane was maid of honor.
A program of wedding music was provided by Doug and Celena Smith, vocalists.
Following the ceremony the bride’s family held a reception at Seven Springs Restaurant.
After a wedding trip to South Carolina, the couple reside in Goldsboro.
Events held before the wedding included a pig picking May 5th at the home of Jeff and Carolyn Walker hosted by the groom’s family; a wedding shower April 7 at the home of Kyle and Kellie Corbett hosted by Jamie Wilson and Kelli Corbett; and a bachelorette party March 10 hosted by Elizabeth Snith.
