Hoskin-Davidson
CALYPSO — Jessica Marie Davidson and Jesse William Hoskin II exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 23 at 2 p.m. at Calypso Presbyterian Church, with Debby Plumstead Marshall officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Edward Carl Davidson Jr. and Connie Kornegay Summerlin of Mount Olive, the stepdaughter of Wendy Bennett Davidson and Jerry Lynn Summerlin and the granddaughter of Betty Davidson Hall, the late Edward Carl Davidson, Nancy Sue and the late Ransom Henry Dick Kornegay of Mount Olive.
She graduated from Wayne Community College with AS degree in business administration and Mount Olive College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in management and organizational development. She is employed as an accounting clerk at Southern Bank and Trust.
The groom is the son of Jesse William and Sandra Lee Hoskin of Dudley and the grandson of Dixie Lee and the late William Franklin Hoskin of Keener and the late Dewey Crawford and Katie Lee Roberts of Dudley.
He graduated from Wayne Community College. He is employed as an operator mechanic at Mount Olive Pickle Co.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a white asymmetrical A-line gown with beaded lace appliques. It had a chapel train.
Her headpiece was a crystal veil embedded with white satin trim.
Bambie Hoskin was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Nicole Parker, Cristy Goodwin, Shenica Simmons and Heather Abel.
Jesse Hoskin was best man.
Groomsmen were David Sholar Jr., Robbie Quinn, Tommy Williams and Thomas Effler.
Casey Thornton was the junior bridesmaid. E.J. Davidson was the junior groomsman.
Hope Thornton was flower girl. Dakota Newsome was ringbearer.
Wendy Thornton directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Sue Mervin.
A program of wedding music was provided by Zena Carr, pianist, and Cheryl and Ken Sutton, vocalists.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the church reception hall. Lynn Hoskin served the weddign cake. Crystal Fowler poured punch.
After a wedding trip to Wilmington, the couple reside in Beautancus.
Events held before the wedding included a lingerie shower hosted by Cristy Goodwin; a bridal shower hosted by Rachel Kornegay, Crystal Fowler and Anita Strickland, aunt and cousins of the bride; a bachelor party hosted by the groomsmen and friends; a bachelorette party hosted by Nicole Parker and Bambie Hoskin; and a bridal shower hosted by the groom’s mother.
A rehearsal dinner was held June 22 at Calypso Presbyterian Church.
