Warner - Weeks
Stephanie Lynn Weeks and Michael Todd Warner exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 2 at 3 p.m. at Goldsboro Worship Center, with Pastor Danny Johnson and Pastor Jerry Andrews officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Eddie and Kim Weeks of Mount Olive and the granddaughter of Dorothy Bowden and George Hall and Maylon Weeks and the late Betty Weeks of Mount Olive.
She graduated from Southern Wayne High School. She is employed as a cake decorated for Food Lion of Mount Olive.
The groom is the son of Michael and Kay Warner of Goldsboro and the grandson of Faustina O’Quinn of Goldsboro, the late Eugene Warner and the late Mr. and Mrs. George Tucker.
He is employed as a Grocery Manager at Food Lion of LaGrange.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a white strapless gown with a beaded sweetheart neckline and a taffeta pick-up skirt with a chapel-length train. The back was enhanced with a corset lace-up closure.
Her headpiece was a scroll rhinestone, crystal and pearl tiara with a two-tiered elbow-length veil accented with crystal and pearls.
The bride carried a bouquet of roses and stargazer lilies.
Renee Walden was her sister’s matron of honor.
Austin Warner was his father’s best man.
Ushers were Tony Thornton, brother-in-law of the groom, and Michael Lee Jr., cousin of the bride.
Megan Lee, cousin of the bride, and Taylor Walden, niece of the bride, were flower girls. Kevin Lee, cousin of the bride, was ringbearer.
Jean Whitfield, friend of the bride, directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register and distributing programs were Melissa Weeks, cousin of the bride, and Jennifer Judy, friend of the bride.
A program of wedding music was provided by Pastor Andy Stovall, vocalist, and Tommy Howell, pianist.
After a wedding trip to the North Carolina coast and Virginia, the couple reside in Pikeville.
Following the ceremony, family and friends of the bride held a reception in the church fellowship hall. Jean Whitfield, friend of the bride, was the director.
Goldsboro Worship Center’s ladies ministries will hold a miscellaneous shower June 24 at the church.
Events held before the wedding included a miscellaneous shower May 20 at the home of the bride’s mother; and a bachelorette/pantry shower party May 12 at the home of the bride’s mother.
The groom’s family held a rehearsal dinner June 1 at Goldsboro Worship Center. The couple chose this time to present gifts to their attendants.
