Pelt - Perry
EUREKA — Kerry Perry and Brandon M. Pelt of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 9 at 2 p.m. at Eureka United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ed Drew officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Dwight Perry and LaVena Perry of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Sam Perry and the late Marie Barrow Perry of Goldsboro, E. Wayne Smith Sr. of Guthrie Center, Iowa, and Carolyn Ross of Purcell, Okla.
She is a 1997 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School. She is employed at Perry Farms.
The groom is the son of Jerry and Judy Pelt of Eureka and the grandson of Beverly Pelt and the late Freeman Pelt of Eureka and Mary Jarvis and the late Roland Jarvis of New Bern.
He graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 1997. He attended East Carolina University and Wayne Community College. He is employed as a dispatcher at Trans-Agra Inc.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a formal gown of white taffeta with crystal and pearl accents. The sleeveless V-neck bodice was embellished with crystal and pearl beading and featured asymmetrical pleating cinched at the waist and extended into a flowing A-line skirt. The back of the gown had a V-neck with taffeta-covered bridal buttons and a chapel-length train.
Her headpiece was a scalloped edged veil of single-tiered illusions trimmed with crystal beading that fell to a fingertip veil.
The bride carried a cascading bouquet of calla lilies, white roses, dendrobium orchids and miniature carnations..
Katie Perry was her sister’s maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Beth Pelt, sister of the groom; Kristy Perry, sister-in-law of the bride; and Jennifer Shafer, cousin of the bride.
Jerry Pelt was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Josh Price, cousin of the groom; Andy Perry, brother of the bride; and Mike Perkins, friend of the groom.
Regan and Kali Kasulis were flower girls.
Bonnie Parks, aunt of the bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs were Janet and Earl Grant, uncle and aunt of the groom.
A program of wedding music was provided by Becky Brock, pianist, and Stephanie Yelverton, vocalist.
Following the ceremony, family and friends held a reception in the church fellowship hall. Sharon Price, aunt of the groom, cut the wedding cake. June Martin, aunt of the bride, poured punch.
After a wedding trip to Emerald Isle, the couple reside in Goldsboro.
Events held before the wedding included a shower May 20 at Eureka Church fellowship hall hosted by aunts of the couple; and an engagement party April 21 at the home of Phil and Brenda Yelverton hosted by the Yelvertons, Stephanie and Al Yelverton, friends of the couple, and Earl and Janet grant, uncle and aunt of the groom.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner June 8 at Eureka Church fellowship hall.
