WALLACE — LeeArnettra Mitchell of Goldsboro and Daletrico Avon Lee of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 26 at 3 p.m. at the Mad Boar Restaurant’s Celtic Court, with the Rev. Joe A. Jackson officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Charles Nathaniel Mitchell of Murfreesboro and Jacquenette Barnes Mitchell of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of ArnaLee Mitchell and the late Clarence Lee Mitchell Sr. of Murfreesboro and Mary Lee Whitfield Barnes and the late Alfred Benjamin Barnes Sr. of Goldsboro.
The bride is a graduate of Mount Olive College with a degree in fine arts and early childhood education. She is employed as an education coordinator at WAGES.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Monte Boykin Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Herman McCullen Jr. of Mount Olive, the grandson of Monte Delano Boykin Sr., Betty Parks Boykin, Luby Asidore and the late Verna Smith Lee of Mount Olive and the stepgrandson of Linda Boykin.
He attended Shaw University. He is the owner of A A Cleaning Service.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a A-line blush gold shantung and netting formal A-line gown with a contemporary strapless neckline. The beaded waistline defined the gold paisley motif that decorated the bodice, hemline and chapel train.
Her headpiece was a one-tiered blush gold cathedral-length veil adorned with cymbidium orchards.
The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of white and pink roses, mop-head hydrangeas, white Casablanca lilies and white cymbidium orchards mixed with vines and green foliage.
Rashaunte H. Mitchell, sister-in-law of the bride, was the bridesmaid.
Imani Jabril Oliver, daughter of the bride, was the honorary bridesmaid.
Montrale Deo Boykin was his cousin’s best man.
Charles Iyon Mitchell, twin brother of the bride, was the groomsman.
Ushers were Alfred Benjamin Barnes Jr., uncle of the bride, and Derrike Jarman, friend of the groom.
Shryl Hinnant Uzzell directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Shelia Bowden, friend of the bride, and Tamekia Stevens, cousin of the groom.
A program of wedding music was provided by Billie Whitfield Sr., vocalist; Jenny Heim, violinist; and Quintessence jazz band ensemble .
Following the ceremony, a reception was held. Gift attendants were Jeannette Barnes, aunt of the bride, and Gladys Darden, aunt of the groom. Jacqueline Barnes, aunt of the bride, served the wedding cake. Jeri Barnes, aunt of the bride, and Glenn York, friend of the bride, greeted guests. Hostesses were Krystal Boykin, Montrina Boykin, Krystal McCullen and Allyson Ross, sisters of the groom, and Raven Brinkley, cousin of the bride.
After a wedding trip to Grand Cayman Islands, the couple reside in Goldsboro.
Events held before the wedding included a bridal luncheon at Logan’s Roadhouse May 16 hosted by co-workers of the bride; a bridal tea May 12 at the home of Mary Barnes hosted by Ms. Barnes; and a A bridal shower April 29 at the home of Jeannette Barnes hosted by the bride’s.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at Old Boys and Girls Club May 25.
