Thompson - Charlotte
Tania-Marie Charlotte of Goldsboro and Ronnie Junior Thompson exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony April 28 at 3 p.m. at Waynesborough Historic Village, with Lester Hunter officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Gregory and Elizabeth Matuskiewicz of Carolina Beach.
She is a 1996 graduate of John T. Hoggard High School in Wilmington. She is employed as a caseworker at Wayne County Department of Social Services.
The groom is the son of James and Rose Capps of Goldsboro.
He is a 1999 graduate of Southern Wayne High School. He is employed as a groundskeeper in Wayne County.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a single-layer white satin gown fitted to the bust with a free-flowing skirt. Cord embroidery was stitched on the upper bodice.
Her headpiece was a rhinestone tiara.
She carried a bouquet of calla lilies with pearl and ribbon accent on the stems.
Cynthia Blanton, daughter of the bride, was flower girl. Alex Thompson, son of the groom, was ringbearer.
Special helpers were Teresa Savenelli, aunt of the bride; Christine Montgomery, cousin of the bride; the groom’s mother; Kelly and Melvin Johnson and Teresa Waters, friends; David and Crystal Thompson, brother and sister-in-law of the groom; and Jenni Capps, sister of the groom.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Hatcher house at the park.
The couple will take several “mini-moons” this summer months. They reside in Goldsboro.
Events held before the wedding included a shower April 17 at Western Sizzlin hosted by co-workers of the bride.
