Haithcock - Newsome
Caroline Price Newsome and Worth Timothy Haithcock II exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony April 21 at 4 p.m. at First Christian Church, with the Rev. Frederick William Clarke and the Rev. William Duncan Garner Jr. officiating.
The bride is the daughter of William Shuford Newsome and Linda Price Newsome of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late George Rainey and Gladys Ervin Newsome of Goldsboro and the late William Mack and Verna Waters Price of Mount Olive.
She graduated from Wayne Country Day School in 2000 and attended East Carolina University. She is employed with Linda Newsome and Associates.
The groom is the son of Worth Timothy and Karen Wilson Haithcock of Goldsboro and the grandson of Worth Bagley Haithcock and the late Mary Edna Haithcock of Hillsborough and Kathleen Griffin Wilson and the late Robert Monroe Wilson of Goldsboro.
He graduated from Wayne Country Day School in 1996, the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2000 and Campbell University School of Law in 2005. He is employed as an attorney at Haithcock, Barfield, Hulse and Kinsey.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father.
She wore a a formal gown of off-white satin with a strapless sweetheart neckline. The A-line skirt flowed into a chapel-length train.
Her headpiece was a two-tiered veil of silk illusion trimmed with pearls.
The bride carried a bouquet of white and champagne roses.
Lara Tague Carlson was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Kimberly DeAnn Weeks, Ashley Ellen Lewis, Jamie Christine Pritchard and Lauren Kathleen Crawford.
Worth Timothy Haithcock was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Troy Robert Haithcock, Robert Kader Crawford, Jonathan Clindennin Beard, Nicholas John Geers, Dr. Scott Olen LaFevers, Jarred Slicke Chappell, Will Frances Eason, James Douglas Grimes, Dean Constantine Hingaon, Roy John Parker IV and Dameon James Ramsey.
Cheryl Griffin directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Kathryn Lee Wessell. Tia Louise Owens distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Rick Pridgen, vocalist; Mike Nault, organist; and Anna Crumpton, harpist.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception at Walnut Creek Country Club.
After a wedding trip to Costa Rica, Central America, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.
Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower March 24 at the home of Sharon Crawford hosted by family and friends; a dinner party March 17 hosted by Susie Perrine, Harvey Reinhardt, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Sauls, Mr. and Mrs. John Hine and Dr. and Mrs. Richard Cooke; and an engagement party Feb. 24 at Walnut Creek Country Club hosted by family and friends.
A rehearsal dinner was held at Goldsboro Country Club.
