Eldridge - Nord
MOUNT OLIVE — Amber Nichole Nord of Mount Olive and David Pierce Eldridge of Mount Olive exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Jan. 6 at 2 p.m. at Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church, with the Rev. Doug Bartlett officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Curtis Ray Jr. and Sheila Gay Nord of Goldsboro and Kathrine Ann Piner of Tulsa, Okla., and the granddaughter of Curtis Sr. and Clara Nord of Goldsboro, Joe Jones of Delta, Colo., and the late Mary Jones.
She is a 2003 graduate of Southern Wayne High School and a 2005 graduate of Wayne Community College with a major in phlebotomy. She is employed as a customer service associate for Food Lion of Mount Olive.
The groom is the son of Carl and Rosemary Massey of Newton Grove and the late James N. Eldridge and the grandson of Marie Roberts of Mount Olive, the late Boyden Roberts and the late Eunice Eldridge.
He graduated from North Duplin High School in 2002 and Wayne Community College in 2006 with a major in H-vac. He is employed as an H-vac installer with Anderson Heating and Cooling of Mount Olive.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father.
She wore a white satin halter A-line gown with beaded lace appliqués covering the gown. It had a chapel-length train with beaded lace trim around the edges and down the back.
Her headpiece was an elbow-length veil trimmed in white satin attached to a beaded tiara comb.
The bride carried red miniature roses and white roses hand-tied with white satin ribbon.
Danielle Owen was her friend’s maid of honor.
Melisa Weeks, cousin of the bride, was the bridesmaid.
Adam Roberts was his cousin’s best man.
Chris Kornegay, friend of the groom, was the groomsman and usher. Chad Nord, brother of the bride, was an usher.
Lauren Nord, sister of the bride, was flower girl.
Gayle Kabes directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Nancy Crapster, aunt of the groom.
Following the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Nord Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Massey held a dinner reception in the church fellowship hall.
The couple reside in Mount Olive.
