Russell - Worley
Amber Raye Worley and Carl Patrick Russell exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Sept. 30 at 3:30 p.m. with the Rev. Andy Stovall officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Charles and Deborah Worley of Princeton and the granddaughter of Darrell and Joyce Smith and the late Ray and Sadie Worley of Princeton.
She is a graduate of Rosewood High School and North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in parks and recreation and tourism management. She is employed as an ophthalmic technician with Eye Specialist of Carolina.
The groom is the son of Stan and Gail Russell of Morehead City and the grandson of Nelson and Geraldine Tyndall and the late Eugene and Carlotta Russell of Goldsboro.
He graduated from Rosewood High School and East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in construction management. He is employed as an assistant superintendent in West Virginia with Centex Construction.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a strapless candlelight gown with an empire waist covered with French Chantilly lace draped with bodice crystal accents. It had a tiered skirt, a V-back and a scoop neckline.
She wore crystal accents in her hair and her grandmother’s pearls.
Bridesmaids were Charley A. Worley and Angela Rains, sisters of the bride.
Stan Russell was best man.
Lexie Clucas, friend of the bride, was flower girl. William Brayden Rains, nephew of the bride, was ringbearer.
Kathy Russell directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Candance and Gerrod Allison.
A program of wedding music was provided by Jamie Clucas and Jay Sauls of Goldsboro.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride. Becky Tyndall and Marsha Bell, aunts of the groom, served the wedding cake.
After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple reside in Bluefield, W. Va.
Events held before the wedding included a shower Aug. 23 hosted by the bride’s family; a miscellaneous bridal shower Aug. 19 hosted by Kathy Russell; and a room-to-room cookout hosted by Jason and Christy Frazier.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at Becky’s Log Cabin.
