Jernigan - Waters
Karri Jo Waters and Troy Edwin Jernigan Jr. of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. at Highest Praise Tabernacle, with Dr. Glenn Mills officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Ricky Waters and Terry Waters of Calypso and the granddaughter of Mosley and Edith Waters of Calypso and Richard and Lee Jones of Smithfield.
The groom is the son of Troy Jernigan Sr. of Pikeville and Joyce Jernigan of Goldsboro, the stepson of Anne Jernigan and the grandson of Laura Sills and the late Joseph Sills of Goldsboro and Herman Coker and Mary Coker of Pikeville.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore an ice blue, strapless wedding gown.
She carried a bouquet of red roses.
Bridesmaids were Kellie Davis and April Mills.
Groomsmen were Troy Jernigan Sr. and Eric Jernigan.
Ushers were Derick Waters and Sterlin Brock.
Cathy Waters directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Carol Pate.
Elizabeth Grace Phipps, daughter of the bride, accepted a ring from the groom.
A program of wedding music was provided by Gayle Sutton, pianist; Ronda Jackson, vocalist; and Steven Sutton, saxophonist.
Following the ceremony, a dinner reception was held at the Royal Tea Room in Selma.
The couple reside in Calypso.
