Twiddy - Brown
WILSON — April Nicole Brown and Nevin Gregory Twiddy exchanged vows in a ceremony Aug. 26 at 3 p.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Wayne King officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Polly Fulghum Brown of Wilson and the late Larry Stevenson Brown and the granddaughter of Ina Bissette Fulghum of Wilson.
She is a graduate of James B. Hunt High School and a magna cum laude graduate of Barton College with a bachelor degree in accounting. She is employed with patient financial services at Wilson Medical Center.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Roger Twiddy of Sims and the grandson of Vivian Jones Snyder of Sims.
He graduated from James B. Hunt High School. He attended Barton College and Wilson Technical Community College. He is employed as a welder at SE&M Constructs.
The bride was escorted by Kenneth R. Lamm.
She wore a white strapless matte satin gown. The bodice was enhanced with dimensional beads and embroidery accented with Swarovski crystals with a linear scrolled design. The pattern was repeated along the hemline and on the semi-cathedral train insert. A side-pleated skirt and V-back completed the gown.
She wore a tiara comb adorned with Austrian crystals.
The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of bells of Ireland, white lilies, purple tulips, green berries, white roses, lavender statice, purple lisianthus, green orchids, white caspia and purple monte with white sheer ribbon down the stems, tied with white sheer bows.
Lindsay Bradley Earp served as matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Kristie Lamm Johnson, Genny Nicole Ferrel and Carolynn Michole Brown.
Timothy Roger Twiddy Sr. was best man.
Groomsmen were Timothy Roger Twiddy Jr., Jason Wayne Joyner, Joshua Lance Morrison, Andrew McCray Balley and Hunter Aaron Brown.
Haley Kimberlyn Lassiter and Frankie Elizabeth Lassiter were flower girls.
Kristen Taylor Raper was the miniature bride. Maxton Gabriel Brown was the miniature groom.
Linda Moore Davis directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Andrea Leigh McNeely and Tonda Moye Bradley. Diane Wilson Lamm and Sherlon Lynn Page distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Johnny Ralph Sullivan, pianist; Dr. Barnes Perry, trumpeter; and Susan Parrish Lewis, vocalist.
Following the ceremony, Polly Fulghum Brown held a reception at Wilson Country Club.
After a wedding trip to Walt Disney World, Fla., the couple reside in Wilson.
Events held before the wedding included a bridesmaids’ brunch Aug. 25 at Wilson’s Jarman House Tea Room hosted by Tonda Bradley and Lindsay Earp; a floating miscellaneous shower July 16 at First Free Will Baptist Church hosted by church members, family and friends; a lingerie shower July 9 at the bride’s home hosted by Diane Lamm, Kristie Johnson and Sherlon Page; and an engagement luau June 17 at the bride’s home hosted by Arlene Boykin, Cathy McNeely, Linda Dew, Carol Brown and Amy Skinner.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner Aug. 25 at Wilson Country Club.
