Kivett - Skinner
FOUR OAKS — Rebecca Faye Skinner and Gregory Thomas Kivett exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 5 at 4 p.m. at St. John Pente-costal Holiness Church with the Rev. Jim Forehand officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Pastor Jim and Faye Skinner of Four Oaks and the granddaughter of Resa Skinner and the late Henry Skinner of New Bern and Helen Morris and the late Benjamin Morris of Garner.
She is a graduate of West Columbia High School in Cerro Gordo and the University of North Carolina at Pembroke with a Bachelor of Science degree in middle grade education. She is employed at Northeastern Randolph Middle School as a seventh-grade math teacher.
The groom is the son of Jerry and Beverly Kivett of McLeansville and the grandson of the late T.G. and Lake Kivett, Catherine Payne and the late G.M. Payne of McLeansville. He is employed as an inventory specialist 2 with Replacements Ltd.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
Anna Dills served her friend as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Wendy Roberts and Stephanie Kinley, cousins of the bride; Aubrey Eissens, friend of the bride; and Chantel Nelson, friend of the couple.
Jerry Kivett was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Jeff Kivett and Kevin Kivett, brothers of the groom; Michael Skinner, brother of the bride; and Keith Campbell, friend of the groom.
Caitlyn Cook, second cousin of the bride, was flower girl. Brandon Meredith, nephew of the groom, was ringbearer.
Sandra Britt directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Johnny and Barbara Crary, uncle and aunt of the bride.
A program of recorded wedding music was provided by Phil Britt, sound technician.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception in the church fellowship hall.
After a wedding cruise to the western Caribbean, the couple reside in Liberty.
Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower hosted by Ann Beasley, aunt of the bride; a bridal shower hosted by ladies of St. John Pentecostal Holiness Church; and a lingerie shower hosted by Chantel Nelson and Anna Dills, friends of the bride.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner in the church fellowship hall.
