Holly Nicole Best of Greenville and Robert Lynwood Franklin Sutton exchanged vows June 3 at 4:30 p.m.
The Rev. Glenn Everett officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Daniels Memorial United Methodist Church.
The bride is daughter of Chester and Patsy Best of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of the late Georgia Smith of Valdosta, Ga., the late Jarman Smith of Orlando, Fla. and the late Chester and Julia Best of Goldsboro.
The groom is son of Frankie and Debbie Sutton of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of Harold and Sue Coltrane, Josephine Sutton and the late Jackie Sutton of Goldsboro. He is the great-grandson of Ethel Boyette of Goldsboro.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless diamond white satin A-line gown. The bodice was adorned with Swarovski crystals, bugle beads, sequins and silver embroidery with a curved Basque waist. The back closed with satin-covered buttons embellished with Swarovski crystals and flowed into a chapel-length train with embroidery and beaded motifs at the hemline.
For her headpiece, she chose a comb encrusted with pearls and crystals attached to a diamond white illusion veil with a blusher.
She carried a clutch bouquet of white roses accented with lyiansthis and rosebuds.
Sharon Ann Brown of Woodbridge, Va., sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Candace Marie Hughes and Anna Fonvielle Vinson of Raleigh, Kelly Helms Knowles of Arlington, Va., and Brooke Deans Lawrence of Greenville, friends of the bride, and Virginia Josephine Sutton of Greenville, sister of the groom.
Frankie Sutton was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Kevin William Brown of Woodbridge, Va., brother-in-law of the bride; Bryan Columbus Coltrane of Goldsboro and Joshua Johnson Coltrane of Raleigh, cousins of the groom; Leland Leroy Lawrence of Goldsboro, friend of the groom; and Jackie Franklin Sutton of Goldsboro, brother of the groom.
Katherine Nicole Brown, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Colby William Brown, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
Shirley Deans directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Jeff and Tessa Denton, Ben, Anna and Claire. Kyle Cannon distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Ray Kennedy, pianist and vocalist, and Marian Kennedy, vocalist.
After a wedding trip to Charleston, S.C., the couple is residing in Goldsboro.
The bride is employed as a senior analytical chemist with Metrics Inc.
The groom is employed as a state-certified real estate appraiser with Eagles Properties Inc.
Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance reception was held at Goldsboro Country Club.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at the home of Jeff and Tessa Denton.
