Talton - Bridgers
PRINCETON — Brandi Lynn Bridgers and Jason Mark Talton pledged their promises May 20 at 2:30 p.m.
The Rev. Bobby Fletcher officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Princeton United Methodist Church.
Parents of the bride are Robert A. and Becky P. Bridgers of Dudley. She is the granddaughter of Roger and Lee Pilgrim of Forest City, Robert G. Bridgers of Dudley and Donald and Doris Shipton of Lugoff, S.C.
The groom is the son of Tom and Frankie Rains Talton of Princeton. He is the grandson of Thomas and Frances Rains Britt, the late Lynwood Rains, Christie Talton and the late Wade Talton of Princeton.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white matte satin gown with a V-neckline. The bodice was decorated with seed pearls and crystals along the top of the neckline and waistline. The A-line skirt flowed into a semi-cathedral train accented with matching seed pearls, sequins and crystals.
Ashley Nelms, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Denise Mason, cousin of the bride, and Malissa Graham, sister of the groom.
Tom Talton was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Robert Bridgers, brother of the bride, and Chad Talton, brother of the groom. Ushers were Adam Cole and C.G. Howell, friends of the groom, and Wade Graham, brother-in-law of the groom.
Amy St. Amant directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Lori Stanley. Jessica Bragg distributed programs.
Daniel Talton, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer.
Hunter Hinson, cousin of the bride, and Elaine Howell, niece of the groom, were acolytes.
A program of wedding music was provided by Brad Collier, pianist, and Gail Price, friend of the bride, and Ashley Nelms, vocalists.
After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple is residing in Princeton.
The bride is a 2000 honor graduate of Princeton High School and a graduate of Central Carolina Community College with an associate of science degree. She is employed as a laboratory technician/manager with Goldsboro Milling Co.
The groom graduated from Princeton High School in 1996 and Wayne Community College with an associate degree in poultry and livestock. He is employed as an agriculture research assistant III with Cherry Research Farm.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s family held a reception at the church. Attendants were Pat Gurley, Monica Frink, Angie Hinson, Barbara Rains, Brittany Fuller, Frances McLamb, Chellie Loftin and Christie Talton.
On May 13, Malissa Graham and Frankie Talton held a bridesmaids’ luncheon at the home of Deborah Graham.
The groom’s family held a shower May 7.
On April 30, Denise Mason, cousin of the bride, and Amy St. Amant and Monica Frink, friends of the bride, held a shower.
Robert Bridgers Jr., brother of the bride, held a tool party April 15.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at the church.
