Moore - Edge
EUREKA — Stacie Gwen Edge and Rickie Lawrence Moore II were united in holy matrimony May 26 at 7 p.m.
The Rev. Dock Hobbs officiated at the double-ring ceremony at the home of Al and Stephanie Yelverton.
Parents of the bride are Glenn and Theda Edge of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of J.R. and Esther Lancaster of Pikeville, Grace O. Edge of Snow Hill, the late Harvey Glenn Edge and the late Margaret Wheeler.
The groom is the son of David and Pamela Bradley of Grimesland and the late Rickie Lawrence Moore of Farmville. He is the grandson of Leland and JoAnn Glass of Greenville and the late Melvin and Ann Moore.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of white silk chiffon with a chapel-length train. The asymmetrical chiffon overlay revealed a crystal-encrusted bodice. The portrait neckline featured pleated chiffon that dusted the shoulder line. Crystals enhanced the side drape and cascaded down the fluted side panel. It was embellished with Swarovski crystals, pearls and seed beads.
For her headpiece, she chose a tiara encrusted with Swarovski crystals. She carried a bouquet of hot princess roses wrapped in white silk ribbon.
Mandy Wise, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Jami Bradley, sister of the groom, was the bridesmaid.
David Bradley was stepson’s best man.
A program of wedding music was provided by Stephanie Yelverton, cousin of the bride, vocalist.
After a wedding trip to Dickenson Bay, Antigua, the couple will reside in Allentown.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Wayne Christian School and a 2005 graduate of East Carolina University with a bachelor of science degree in communication. She was employed as the campus visit coordinator for North Carolina Wesleyan College.
The groom graduated from J.H. Rose High School of Greenville in 1998 and East Carolina University in 2004 with a bachelor of science degree in hospitality management. He is employed as the northern regional trainer for CEC Entertainment.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of Al and Stephanie Yelverton.
On May 11, the offices of admission and financial aid of North Carolina Wesleyan College held a surprise luncheon at Texas Steakhouse of Rocky Mount.
Mandy Wise held a bachelorette weekend April 28 through 30 in St. Petersburg, Fla.
On March 19, friends and family held a wedding shower at Free Chapel Church.
Mandy and Martha Wise, friends of the bride, held a lingerie shower Feb. 19 at their home.
